Yes, but do you really think it's fair that Muse and Oasis enjoy broad support just like other truly valid bands? If you compare them, it makes me understand this, excuse me. Then, are Robbie Williams, Shakira, and Vascosniffsniffrossi great too? But here, the discussion is musical, not commercial. And Sunday mornings are no different from Thursday evenings for me... still crap. I'm surprised you make this association with Tool, which you (and I) like so much. These little groups, on the other hand, thrive on chatter, on business; continuing to label them as great bands is playing into their game, and that's what bothers me. I often think that even my contrary clarifications might actually promote their success.

Otherwise, we could easily say that in some Led Zeppelin albums you can hear something of Aerosmith, or that in some Black Sabbath albums you can sense something of Maiden, but would that make sense?

It will be, but the DT that everyone knows, the DT style that defined the concept of prog metal, the one from I&W and Awake, is certainly not what we find in the last three albums, which represent a clear negative turn, unfortunately affecting PoS as well, as is evident in their latest album. And then, as I've already said, in this last album, the DT even draws from U2 and, in the suite, there is truly nothing original. With great bands, you have to look at their peak; even great classical composers have produced insignificant works, but they are not remembered for those. If you consider Muse a great contemporary band on par with Tool, and also think that Oasis makes excellent melodies, for me, the discussion ends here. Thank you for the clarifications.
