Thank you, Poletti. I have seen Leone's trilogy and the 2 C'era una Volta, and they all seemed like masterpieces to me. I will try to get my hands on this one as well.

I don't think this is their most successful album; the previous one is, in my opinion, more fluid, and also Days of Future Passed, although raw, should be considered one of the most important records in history. In this one, I really like "Never Comes the Day," and of course the ending of the album, but overall I prefer the two earlier ones. Great choice and good review, congratulations.

So Meurglys: regarding the criticisms of Pink Floyd, unfortunately, some have dared to criticize those albums, but fortunately, they are few in number, and almost all (if not all) are here on Debaser. However, the opinion of the critics that matters a bit has fortunately not been influenced by the fact that the pre-Obscured albums were immense and could in some way overshadow the subsequent ones. As it should be, the focus has been on the specific album to analyze, and as we know, each Pink Floyd album is a world unto itself and has little or nothing to do with the previous one. The critical opinion about the Pink Floyd albums in question is mostly positive; I don't understand why denying it. Then, regarding Dt and Symphony X, I didn’t bring them up; someone thought that my liking for Symphony X could be a card to play in their favor, and I believe I’ve shown its inconsistency. As for Muse, whether mainstream or not, I see no originality whatsoever (in the little I've listened to), and I don’t understand what you are particularly referring to. I repeat, aside from my personal tastes (which lie elsewhere, but that's not the point), I would also try to analyze the band in question objectively, but unfortunately, what I conclude is that in their structures in general, and especially in the individual sections, everything sounds very familiar, a stylistic choice that is overused and not original, creative, or noteworthy at all. It’s always the same patterns, an ineffective hodgepodge of what was good and bad before them, and they are completely irrelevant, technically poor, and only exhibit a decent melodic taste, nothing more. I remember one of their songs (I can’t recall the name, but I’ll try to find it) in which a solo was IDENTICAL in every detail to "L'Ammonimento" from "Il Rovescio della Medaglia," and other passages strongly resemble Depeche Mode. All of this convinced me not to listen to Muse anymore. Moreover, I read in the review that they even drew from Britney Spears, the worst of music (music?). All this reiterates what I said in my first post, namely that they are terrible. If they are the best that this scene has to offer in recent years, I would be concerned. What surprises me is that a discerning listener like you could appreciate them; I would be curious to understand better what you find interesting, without any polemics, really.
