What can I say, BeatBoy, you hit the nail on the head with your choice of album to review. The review is formal but it resonates with us. The beat is great music, and the Pooh have been worthy representatives of it. But after this beat period, they produced albums that should not be overlooked, introducing many innovations to a music genre that has no imitators — the Pooh are one of a kind. In particular, "Viva" from '79 represents their highest artistic point, where catchy music hits on first listen and perfectly suited lyrics open the doors to the '80s. They deserve credit for being among the first in Italy to use drum sampling, to perform in shows with lasers and smoke, and to be among the very first to publish a CD in the Boot, "Tropico del Nord," in '83. On the other hand, it was precisely during this period that "Poohlandia" stopped evolving. However, dear beatboy, Facchinetti has always had that damn powerful voice!

No, Birbabirba, absolutely no. This Pooh album is not a significant absence in the database, and because being a best of, it lacks the compactness that a real album can have, as it was shamelessly released to further line the pockets of the four, and because it contains the title track that truly stands out too much among the other songs. The fact is that the real absences are other Pooh albums, which I like even if I don't consider them of high quality in the musical hierarchy. To anyone who has the time and the desire, I recommend reviewing "Viva" and "Tropico del nord."
