And I don't have to learn from anyone; I listen and judge from the height of my abilities... Does Grassopher like Springsteen? Well, I also like the Pooh. And you'll be the idiot.

What’s up, Poletti? Do you want to change the subject since you can't talk about music? My God, come on, Springsteen and Vascorossi are two of the biggest copycats in history; they took a bit from here and a bit from there and got rich off it. Is it possible we don’t realize it? Go read what Bowie & Barrett say in the review of Born to Run and spare me from writing more.

Only those prog-metal groups that keep our current scene engaged can obviously save themselves.

If you’re idiots, that’s your problem; if there are so many of you, I’m sorry for you too. Captain Beefheart is a music legend, certainly not Springsteen. I haven't read the review by Grassopher yet, but, without daring to dispute it, he doesn’t strike me as someone who deserves a 5 for the music he makes (maybe for the lyrics).
Getting back to the previous discussion, considering that over time Pop music has become synonymous with commercial music, we find ourselves commenting on a false and hypocritical reality, and in the general despair, there are groups like Bluvertigo that, even within the pop realm, manage to stand out and pocket the entire Italian music scene of the '90s, including your Vasco rockstar wannabe.

Music isn't judged by the opinions of the "majority"; otherwise, Michael Jackson would be on the same level as Pink Floyd, or people like Elton John or Bruce Springsteen would be considered better than lesser-known artists like Captain Beefheart or High Tide, just to give you an example. The value of music is intrinsic; beyond your 40-somethings, there are plenty of 20-somethings listening to crap, but whether there are many or few doesn’t matter a damn, it's still crap.

This would prove that most people don't understand a damn thing about music :-)

Or perhaps most of the work was done by Tagliapietra and therefore Dei Rossi didn't feel it was "his," who can say... What matters is that it is sublime art, regardless of what he thinks about it.

Well, perhaps in the minds of artists there is always a tendency to do better, so maybe he considered that episode from over thirty years ago as just a stepping stone to improve himself... But music is judged by those who listen to it, not by those who create it, and for me as a listener, "Felona e Sorona" is one of the most beautiful things that exist on the face of the earth.

So, dear Poletti, did you have to be present at the time to judge? I believe that a minimum of musical culture would suffice, and in this case, truly a minimum, along with (alas) listening to the album in question, to notice the baseness of the music, the lyrics, and what is being attempted to communicate... A breath of fresh air??? I would rather say stagnant! The fresh air in those years in the Italian scene was brought by Rino Gaetano a few years earlier and by Litfiba a few years later, as well as the new sonic paths of De André, Battiato, and (I add) Battisti, Musicanova, and Bennato in the ethnic-pop field, the artistic maturity achieved by Paolo Conte, the first blues-fusion attempts of Pino Daniele, the never-discredited artistic talent of Gaber and Pagani, even the Disco-rock of the Pooh from that period, and even the punk of the Skiantos and the punk-new wave similar of Krisma, but there are many others who have, so to speak, "refreshed" us more than the guy in question. Go and reread your encyclopedias better, dear Poletti, or better yet, go listen to something good, or even better, avoid the usual nonsense.
