So far, my person has managed to understand the records of Zappa and Faust, but not those of the Residents, who are surely music geniuses but I just can't get there yet. Maybe one day I will understand their albums and I will take back what I said. Today, this is how I feel.

No obsession ajeje, I’m not keen on starting another debate on this review and it’s not like I go to see your comments or your favorite groups to criticize. I simply happened to listen to this CD again recently, and I stand by what I’ve said; unlike the artists you mentioned, the lack of a logical thread here is unbearable for me. Just a matter of taste. I never knew about Beefheart's presence; one of the Faust members also collaborated with a rapper, if that’s any consolation. Indeed, for me, this is among the most hated albums in chronological order. It’s my opinion, I have nothing more to say, even if Mozart and Bach played on it wouldn’t mean anything to me.

To me, they suck, I truly think that the residents are THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF MUSIC. Horrendous to say the least. And forgive me, the various sanjuro, ajeje, and company, I am certain of my statements. Even cacophony or, as I read earlier, deconstructionism, have rules to follow, standards to conform to. And what the hell. There’s nothing. It’s a fine originality unto itself. Absolute nothingness. How is it possible that they astonish or even move people? It had been a year, perhaps, since I last listened to this crap, I put it back on tonight and I was left with the same ideas I had before. Unacceptable stuff. For aspiring pseudo-alternatives and middle-class folks on the brink of a nervous breakdown.
