For now, I'm not interested in Battiato as a director. I'm interested in him as a musician, and in particular this experimental self-titled album, which should be discussed on this page, and of which you probably will never understand a thing, assuming you've even listened to it. Let's support the talented young people, certainly not Tiziano Ferro, and let's respect an artist like Battiato who for 35 years, in addition to money and success, has been making great music.

Oh well, if you didn’t have to talk to him about music and he wasn’t dressed like a pretentious jerk and said sensible things, I don’t see why I shouldn’t smile at him (aside from the fact that I don’t go to clubs and anyway I wouldn’t feel important enough for a photo with someone like that).

Modern texts? Why are they more recent? And this Battiato album doesn't have lyrics, did you listen to it? Electronics have certainly modernized in 20 years; indeed, one should be amazed at what Battiato was able to do in the '70s. And it's not true that Battiato keeps doing the same things; in fact, he is perhaps the Italian Artist who has experimented with the most musical genres throughout his career, from pop to rock, from classical to electronic, to beat, to singer-songwriter, to masses, to avant-garde... He is the quintessential Italian Artist, and you are the quintessential fool.
