I should laugh at you and leave you with your beliefs, you make me believe that you're crazy.

What Kim Deal considers a flaw is, in my opinion, a great merit of this band: taking the blues, folk, rock and making them sound new, strong, hard.

In my opinion, Battiato's musical experimentation has very little to do with the figure of the singer-songwriter. Conte's jazz influences are not supported by poignant lyrics like those of Faber; the romantic sweetness is much stronger in De André than in De Gregori. There is irony in De André as well, though it is presented differently than in Gaber. As for Guccini, I personally prefer De André, even on a musical level. Considering De André a step above these artists does not mean idolizing him.

CUNTGRINDER ENOUGH WITH THESE CLICHÉS!!! THE DEATHS CAUSED BY NAZISM ARE THE WORK SOLELY AND EXCLUSIVELY OF HITLER! TRUE COMMUNISM, THAT OF MARX AND LENIN, HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH STALIN!

Of course, you're right about Battiato, precisely because Battiato is a multi-faceted Artist, but on a strictly singer-songwriter level, De André is unbeatable, the best our country has ever had... don't you agree? Battiato’s is a different kind of songwriting, of course; he writes music and lyrics, but it’s a whole other genre. He has dabbled in beat, prog, electronic, experimental, pop-rock, and even mass music and classical, sometimes even hard, but in terms of conventional singer-songwriter style, it pales in comparison to De André. It’s impossible to compare them... who do you think represents singer-songwriter art better in our country?

What I don't understand is: you say you prefer the first part of his career, but there the music was simpler, which from what I understand doesn’t appeal to you.
