Many artists (Wright, Crosby, Nash, Manzanera) alongside David Gilmour for an album that may or may not appeal, but still remains remarkably refined. An album made by those who have nothing left to prove to anyone for an audience that can still, in 2006, appreciate a six-string like this, without demanding the usual masterpieces to which they have become accustomed. The horn, the percussion, and the muted voice of Robert Wyatt in "Then I Close My Eyes" elevate the album's tones. And the reviewer is right when he describes the album as "calm," because here no one has the pretense to rock out; this is the tranquility of Castellorizon, the relaxation of an English sixty-year-old on an island.
