Miles Davis Tutu

A good number of contrasting opinions, but that's normal when it comes to Miles... In the end, I think I'll go for Tutu and then follow up with all the others; thanks anyway for the helpful suggestions. As for Doo-bop, regardless of how it would have turned out if Miles had still been alive, those sounds were about to be born in '91... in that record, I heard the various Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky and the whole trip-hop gang mixed with rap. In my opinion, many criticize it because Miles' trumpet isn't very present (not the instrument itself, but his style), not taking into account that he wanted doo-bop just with that sound and that atmosphere. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, I didn't even know there was already a review of that work, I'll go read it now ;)

mmmm...I stand corrected: fantastic maybe not (in my opinion, of course), but very interesting and definitely unique ;)

I don't keep Tutu either, nor the rest of Miles' 80s output. Which one do you recommend I start with (I'm only referring to the 80s)? A question for primiballi, pamparius, and others who surely know much more than I do: what do you think of Doo-bop? In my ignorance, I found it a fantastic record that foreshadowed some things that would dominate throughout the 90s.

Very big. My favorite remains Stoner Witch. Sorry, but on which album is the song Zodiac?

Well then, at this point we should ask ourselves what this concept of music is, if it even exists and, moreover, if there is only one... but we would be entering a never-ending tunnel, so (as they say around here) "oru oru, ognunu a casa loru"! ;)

Damn, I apologize for the overly long post full of trivialities.
