It's a half-successful album... The worst part is that some songs might even sound nice at first listen, but then you realize they're cloying... from the fresh sound of previous albums, their music has degenerated into claustrophobic atmospheres. But the title track X & Y and THE HARDEST PART and A MESSAGE remind us that Coldplay still have immense talent.

It's true, it's the 5th, not the 4th; I forgot to mention Hullabaloo because it was a compilation, but this only reinforces what I was saying... it's true that Muse's music now is much less evocative than the other masterpiece, Origin of Symmetry... but you should have gotten used to it already back in the days of Absolution... the change has been gradual... what's wrong with Muse continuing to make the same music? Apparently, there was nothing left to explore in those musical territories... and now they’re proposing new sensations... I thought people liked Muse, but everyone here detests them... not to mention those who even dislike Origin of Symmetry (those are just overdoing it).
