"To complete the circle, they needed a skilled and powerful drummer, and the three English musicians find these qualities in John 'Bonzo' Bonham, who initially declines but eventually gives in and joins the band: he won’t be disappointed!" I believe he was a bit more than disappointed... Robert Plant: his high-pitched screams are beautiful and moving... "in which Bonham doesn’t miss a beat on the drums and where Robert excels as a vocalist." And why on earth would John Bonham miss a beat when he is one of the best drummers in the history of rock? Robert certainly excels as a vocalist; I don’t think he was brought on as an additional percussionist. The one who always pays the price is poor John Paul Jones, a cornerstone in the rhythm section, because keeping the rhythm going when you only have a guitar at your disposal (even if it is Jimmy Page’s) while juggling bass and Hammond isn’t exactly something a rookie would pull off... Anyway, the Hammer of the Gods definitely didn’t need this review.

"Attribution," where Soundgarden seem like an old man who, when he flexes his muscles, reveals flabby flesh, and when he grits his teeth, spits out his dentures (the backing vocals under the chorus are one of the lowest points ever reached by the band from Seattle). This sentence is beautiful. Great review, I agree with you on everything.. They could have made an album of 6 tracks and left the second part alone..

Chemist, your comments always have that certain magic touch... But you gave me jack shit, at least two, I really put a lot of effort into it, I even included the links! Long live Aerosmith, the greatest rock band on the planet.

I thank those who have already passed for their infinite generosity in voting, but especially chemist for their kind words. And I thank those who will pass by and leave a comment.. Not being able to review anything else from Il Giardino because "if someone has already written it, just leave it, it's better" (see Rax), I tried to give my personal opinion on this much-discussed return. Even after numerous listens that followed the many listens before writing, my opinion doesn't change much from what I wrote above. And also reading here and there on the internet, I must say that it doesn’t stray far from others' opinions. What a shame, it could have been a great surprise to end this fucked-up year, but really 15 years might just be too much and they are out of time max.. I just need to understand why more space wasn't given to Kim Thayil.. It’s a crime..

Listening to Sea of Sorrow and reading a review of the new Robbie Williams at the same time is priceless... I think something is wrong with me.

The Muse are done after Absolution, they've become gaudy and pathetic, the first two albums were really good, now they’re a joke.
