I don’t know why Dream Theater, despite being excellent musicians, have always rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it’s because LaBrie has a voice that I can’t digest, or maybe it’s because they don’t convey many emotions, or maybe what the hell do I know… Anyway, the fact remains that I can’t stomach them; they’re as hard to swallow as a carbonara at three in the morning. I certainly don’t dispute their skills, being one of the most technical groups in the world (Portnoy still remains one of the most impressive drummers… Petrucci has set the standard, even though his virtuoso guitar solos have never particularly impressed me in any band… I find them just fillers, never cloying). The only one who has given me emotions and really impressed me was the good Hendrix, may his soul rest in peace. But Cobain also had a way of playing the guitar that has always fascinated me. It’s outrageous, but between someone like Petrucci (a God) and Cobain (an incapable… in the good sense of the term), I prefer Cobain. Now you can go fuck yourselves.

Fuck, you have an enviable average.. From what I've read, both in the review and comments, the use of the Italian language and grammar is unknown to you, and not a little.. This is a very important point, you can't imagine how important it is: 1st: because we are Italians (with a capital "I" and I'm proud of it) and we must defend our language fiercely, which, in my opinion, is the most beautiful in the world and I challenge anyone to say otherwise. 2nd: since Italy (with a capital "I") is becoming no man's land with the arrival of tens of thousands of Albanians, Romanians, North, Central, and South Africans, Arabs of any kind (far from me the term "racist," I am the most tolerant and respectful person in the world, when I go abroad I respect the locals more than local citizens (and it's a sacred duty, since I consider myself a guest in a foreign land) the place, the people, and the environment, but when someone comes into "my" house (yes fuck, this is "my house!!" because I was born here and my name and surname are 175% Italian) I demand and expect the same respect! Something that these sacks of shit do not do and it bothers me a lot, but a lot... The Italian language should be doubly, rather triply defended, preserved, and used correctly.

I remember adolescence, when you’re too stupid and small to understand a damn thing, in the mountains, with the parish, everyone singing the songs of the legendary Claudio! What a blast.. The green meadows, the guitar, the fire, the butterflies.. What a blast! And everyone singing "Questo piccolo grande amore..!!!!!!". What a blast.. But a thought was already creeping into my head: something isn’t right.. I can’t stand this guy, not one bit. Is it possible that he always sees everything through rose-colored glasses? Love everywhere? Where the hell does he live? In the land of toys? Then, over time, reason took over, the Sex Pistols, Metallica, Maiden, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, SOUNDGARDEN, Alice in Chains, Faith No More, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Jeff and Tim Buckley, AREA, etc.. etc.. etc.., I realized I didn’t understand a damn thing, really not a damn thing, I repented before the God of Metal, performed 15,000 acts of contrition with a voice like Carcass, then, after regaining the use of my vocal cords after two years (a deserved punishment..) I started singing in a thrash, grunge, metal band. I thank the God of Metal for the enlightenment and for saving me from that BELINO music. In the 90s I saw the light and never again, I swear, never again, will I approach and flee like the plague from such garbage represented fittingly by Mr. Coglioni who, honestly, between lifting (RIDICULOUS!!!!) and sugary nonsense, has really gotten on my nerves!!!

I think there's something there, especially since this is the fourth album and I believe another one has come out as well. Captain, the comparisons for this band are endless. I really liked them, both instrumentally and vocally. They might also come off as boring over time; that’s subjective. The album flows really smoothly, anyway, because in my opinion, a record should contain a maximum of 11-12 tracks to be digestible, no more. Try downloading something to see if you like them. I don't think they're derivative (especially since all bands today are, as there's hardly anything left to invent..), boring, or pretentious (just look at the photos on the site; I wouldn't say they are pretentious at all..). Alessio, I recommend giving them a listen.. I found them really interesting with good ideas. I think they outshine many bands that are around lately. If you end up not liking them or finding them trivial and predictable, I apologize in advance..
