I'm not a stratospheric singer, I didn't say it doesn't take a damn thing, but that it doesn't take a genius; you still have to work hard, whether you go to lessons or decide to do it on your own. It's always better if someone experienced teaches you the technique, but it's also better not to focus solely on the one technique you are taught. I took lessons for a while too, but then I got tired of vocal exercises, articulating diction, breathing, and paying a lot of money. I wasn't explained much, just the basics; for the rest, I worked hard on my own. Many people think that by taking lessons and knowing the applied technique, they automatically become good singers. What I think and feel is that there are voices all set in the same way, the same singing style, lacking soul, character, and experimentation. Take someone like Renga: beautiful voice, sure, but he has stuck to that singing style since the times of Timoria and has never evolved; he has never changed his timbre, his way of vibrating, or his clean/vibrato emission timing. And Renga is still studying singing. Take someone like John De Leo: he must have studied a lot, although nature has given him a lot too, but I don’t think he has stopped at the technique learned at the conservatory; on the contrary, he has put a lot of himself into it. Just look at the twelve thousand things he does to experiment with his voice, the timbre variations, the thousand ways to apply the technique. De Leo is terrifying, and he is because he’s crazy and wants to throw you off balance at all costs. That means knowing how to use your voice 100% and not just having a pretty voice and singing well. There are plenty of good singers in the world. Fewer phenomena, though. Anyway, surely you are the one who can teach me something; I doubt it's the other way around. @TROTA: during this crisis period, I'm offering amazing discounts, especially to those towards whom I feel positive sentiments, but let me know that you're interested. I still have a fee schedule; I'm a serious professional. If you don't want to use protections, bring a recent analysis certificate. And no kisses on the mouth! ;o)

And it doesn't take a genius to understand where the diaphragm is, how to lower it and release it along with the column of air that is created to support the sound, relaxing and positioning the vocal cords correctly, trying to involve the throat as little as possible, bringing the sound forward, so that it resonates in the front part of the palate and on the upper dental arch. Feel the vibrations produced in the mask, involving the nasal cavities and opening the throat by pushing down with the help of the tongue positioned "like a spoon" for better resonance and less resistance, articulating the mouth correctly to round the sound and achieve a clearer and less difficult emission. The cheekbones also play an important role in singing, and especially the extension of the head and neck (always in the most relaxed positions possible) when ascending in pitch... Then there’s also the push with the lower abdominals when hitting the note, the breathing techniques, shoulder posture or the work of the epiglottis... The technique of circular breathing (impossible for many, but possible for a certain Jeff Buckley)... The diplofonies, triplofonies, investigations, etc... But here we are already in very distant territories.

No, no explain explain, you're not talking to an incompetent on the subject, and if you do your research you'll find out that the guy is self-taught. You don't need a genius to learn something technical, just read and practice.

One of the best independent things I've listened to in recent years. The voice fits perfectly with everything else; it’s perfect. The drummer is great, and the guitar parts are really intriguing. Well done!

@ARDALO: I have respect for everyone (as long as it's mutual), and I don't think I've said anything particularly offensive about those with Down syndrome. I wouldn't showcase them on television as a spectacle to evoke the masses' pity just for my own interests, while others do, making them look quite ridiculous with those pitiful skits.. Of course I think about how lucky I am; I think about it every day, dear, especially since I work in a place where there are at least forty people less fortunate than me, and I interact with them every day to provide comfort.
