Bonnie Tyler Faster Than The Speed Of Night
Voto:
Negligible stuff from the eighties, Steinman is a boring, emphatic, rhetorical, empty producer; she has this inelegant big voice and a completely contrived and useless attitude. Rock garbage.
The Who Endless Wire
Voto:
Exhibitionism, bad taste, hedonistic pseudohumor. Annoying.
Doobie Brothers What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits

MisterNO: things like "Black Water" are "Clear As The Driven Snow" in the 1973 album "The Captain & Me" or "Leaving My Heartache..." in the latest "Sibling Rivalry" from 2003.
Jethro Tull Nightcap
Voto:
Commitment, competence, and passion.

Enough, Mariaelena, you take these journeys of your own while the reality is quite different. The music came BEFORE the lyrics; in fact, the album was released late because Peter was slow to write it. You tend to think only with your gut, you like Gabriel, and then... Since the album came out 30 years ago, we need a bit of perspective. The Genesis, THOSE Genesis, were in crisis because Gabriel's mask's strength and effectiveness drew attention away from the music, namely the other four, and hence the main goal of the group, which was not a theater company... Thus, this is an album where Gabriel writes all the lyrics and doesn't compose a single note. And you can tell! But that's not good either... Gabriel overdoes it with the lyrics, and the others are pissed off because he puts lyrics on top of instrumental sections. Good for Peter for leaving, and especially for not basing his career on masks and suggestive but wordy stories like this one. After all, he didn't do like the Kiss, who are still touring in costumes because they were popular thirty years ago. "Lamb is still a very good album by Genesis, but it's verbose, imbalanced on the lyrics (even "The Wall" is, just to say...) disconnected because the group was in that phase, even a step back compared to "Selling" in terms of recording cleanliness. I get that you care little about this, writing such drivel and seeing connections where there are none...

I have a different opinion on much of what you write.

New York Minute is not a new piece; it’s in a "solo" by Henley...the titles of the songs in English should be written with an uppercase letter at the beginning of each word...these are the only notes I can make while rereading your (impeccable, as already mentioned) review. For the rest, you’re concise, effective, ironic, and competent. This is just because you expressed a desire for more substantial comments.
Hello and congratulations.

I wish you, sooner or later, a candlelit dinner with your hero who has a sexy voice and is still in great shape.
Creedence Clearwater Revival Pendulum (1970)

Great. It’s my favorite album by Creedence by far.
