Without exciting, the album holds up. Too much space for Curti, but it happened in the previous album as well... It seems it's one of the conditions to keep staying together. Infinite class, anyway.

Finally, there's no more Kantner composing and singing. In those overhyped times, at the expense of others who did rock blues better. Now it's all right, time is a gentleman.

You say correct things, but you never steer the conversation towards this specific album.
Bob doesn’t really catch my attention... Maximum respect, but I have a personal idiosyncrasy towards the Americana genre, those rhythm 'n' blues rock songs that always revolve around the same chords and melodies, the samples of which are precisely Bruce, Tom, and Bob.

The only true album where I fully enjoy Steve Vai's technical skill, which honestly moves me zero for the other 95% of his production. In this glam context but with irony, his guitar is perfect. Eddy Van Halen remains from another dimension. Roth is a less powerful singer than Hagar, but far more charismatic, personal, and convincing. The cover photo is stunning, featuring Roth clinging to the Half Dome of Yosemite Valley, a massive vertical rock that is intimidating to look at. Great album, it annoys me that this type of rock is opposed in Italy on principle.
