I didn't like the review at all! Much, much better is the one already present. Anyway, this is the first album I got from Genesis and I loved it to bits (memories take me back to a class assembly...). In my opinion, it's the best Genesis album (notice the beautiful cover). However, it might not be advisable to pick up this album right away if you want a first approach with them (in that case, it's better to get Selling England first).

@silian: thanks. But isn’t the conversation getting a little lost? I mean, it’s obvious that the Who are to jazz what Ricky Martin is to metal! I judge them by the genre they play.

I remember that some time ago I discovered a tape of my father's by Marillion. It was "Script for a Jester's Tears." I fell in love with it. I especially loved "Garden Party." Unfortunately, I haven't listened to it in a while, but this review made me want to pick it up again. Well done. What can I say about Marillion? Stunning. They do take a lot from the original Genesis style, but for me, that's something to be rewarded. Well done. Now I'm almost tempted to get "Misplaced."

I can't believe I bought who's next just yesterday. I knew them a little before. Magnificent. It's one of those albums that grabs you right away. Anyway, as far as technique goes, I would gladly put the Who alongside Hendrix, Zeppelin, Doors, and Cream. I know all these artists well, and I recognize that the Who had nothing to envy them. Now I'll start deepening my knowledge of their albums. @sillian: do you think Who are you can be a good purchase, or is it just a piece of crap from recent times (after that album, if I’m not mistaken, the drummer died)?

Nice receipt. I've never heard this album, but if it's like the Duke tape I listened to a few years ago, well... better off not having heard it. I really love the early Genesis, I can't stand the pop ones.

Hooray for duplicates!!!! Anyway, this album is nice (nothing fantastic, but nice).

The Cure Japanese Whispers

Good reception. The album, guiltfully considering my immense admiration for them, I’ve never had the chance to listen to it (except for a few tracks here and there). I definitely prefer the dark version of The Cure, but even in their pop guise, they managed to create songs that are anything but silly. The carefree vibe they transmit is only apparent, in my opinion. Sometimes they make me feel even sadder than the songs from Disintegration (a cornerstone of all music).

And, after reading your profile, I’ll double the score (especially because I like you and you’re almost my age—I’m just one year older than you).

great boss floydman: I bow before you! the review is lengthy but I like it a lot! unfortunately I've never listened to the album (with PFM I stop at the 70s). I completely agree with you on the reviews of series A or B. except for a few exceptions, series A albums are always from semi-unknown groups. the beauty of the review counts relatively according to their judgment. anyway, I've gotten used to it by now.
