The Who Live At Leeds
Voto:
definitely the best live performance I have ever heard
Japan Oil On Canvas
Voto:
I only have Tin Drum (wonderful!). I vote on trust (since my entire album is there).
The Cars Greatest Hits
Voto:
The review is well-written, but the comparison with Toto seems quite risky to me. And then it seems like you treat them with a bit of dismissiveness.
The Cars Greatest Hits

please don't kill me, but in my opinion the Cars are really good. their songs are accessible but never trivial. honestly, I prefer them, by a long shot, to Blondie, a similar band that I just can't stand. Just What I Needed is gorgeous. de gustibus...
The Jimi Hendrix Experience Axis: Bold As Love
Voto:
great album, slower and more introspective compared to the previous and the next, but by no means bad. bold as love is beautiful.
Red Hot Chili Peppers One Hot Minute
Voto:
rather, 3.5
Red Hot Chili Peppers One Hot Minute

It's the album I've listened to the least by the REAL Red Hot. I think Navarro's technique didn't suit their sound very well (though that doesn't take away from the fact that he was one hell of a guitarist). And then the production is too clean. In short: I would give it a 3 as well.
AA.VV. Platoon (Soundtrack)
Voto:
Well, "The Deer Hunter" isn't really a film about the Vietnam War for me, but about friendship (that doesn't take away from how amazing it is, perhaps my favorite with Robert De Niro). "Platoon" is nice, but I don't think it's anywhere close to "Full Metal Jacket" and "Apocalypse Now." To each his own. But I don't recall "Hamburger Hill" (which I saw ages ago) being that bad and fascist... I might just watch it again.
