It seemed to me like a festival of clichés. And then the fascist who becomes left-wing... when will pigs fly? Whenever Scamarcio appeared, I could only think, "How much is he getting paid for this scene?" or "When will the obligatory sex scene come to please the fans?" And to think that I was drawn in because it was by the same screenwriter as "La meglio gioventù" (now that’s something I enjoyed).

It started off on the wrong foot the first time I listened to it. I was expecting a total slog, but instead, perhaps because I already knew Waits well, I didn't find it heavy at all. Anyway, it's truly extraordinary (fantastic ogre voice "ucci ucci sento odor di cristianucci"). I've never heard anything more insane.
