@Fedeee: it means you are wonderful; whatever I say when addressing you, it means that. From a strictly etymological point of view, I have no idea what Enzo Bianco meant, maybe he didn’t know either XD I'm not exactly straight-edge, I'm just very sober lately; s.e. is something too far from my context to make sense, but I think it has meaning elsewhere as well, even in 2009.

"One thing is the anthems to the Exploited, easy and making a crowd of drunkards sing..." I can't think of anything more punk XD and I say this as a semi-straight edge person that I’ve become.
PS Fedeee, those three "e" are music to our teeth, to quote Enzo Bianco.

Why isn't punk also anthems? For some, it's mainly anthems, like Ian MacKaye, just to name one. I don't get it.

I repeat, critical sense. I don't consider Blink 182 punk (not "that" punk, at least), and by raw, fierce, dirty punk, I mean Discharge, Exploited... it's purely a superficial discussion, a matter of taste; I don't think Descendents or their buddies are shit, I just don't like them. Chocolate doesn't come in just one type XD

PS The Adolescents and the Descendents, I don’t know them well, annoy me. I like punk raw, fierce, dirty.

No Alessio, the fact is that when I listen to/listened to Blink 182 I didn't have the desire to listen to anything important, destabilizing, or alternative. I think I can tell chocolate from shit, and I don't think this is shit; that's your opinion. Just have a bit of critical sense, I repeat, I know very well that these are not the Dead Kennedys or Husker Du and I don't expect them to be.

These are praised from every direction, and I've always wondered to what extent they deserve it; but I guess I'll listen to this too, I find them too damn interesting. Anyway, I don’t understand one thing: if Blood Mountain is a masterpiece, and here you think it surpasses the quality level of Blood Mountain, then why only 4? From the way you talk about it, I would have expected a higher score.

I absolutely don't agree either. After S.C.I.E.N.C.E., I would put Fungus Amongus or Make Yourself; definitely not this one, even though I've already expressed my thoughts about Incubus elsewhere. I believe that despite recent releases not appealing to me, they've never put out anything truly terrible.

I've always liked them. They might be commercial, they might be foolish, they might be banal, but I've always listened to the Dead Kennedys too and I know what to expect from Blink 182 just like I do from the Dead Kennedys. Moreover, they've only made three albums, the first one being much more niche, and the last one (this one here) quite different from their usual standards, so nothing scandalous. I believe there was already a review of the album, not bad at all, well explained although I don't agree with some parts.

You’re making me want to dig them up… I’ve heard quite a few here and there, but I’ve really only listened to one album, Turn Loose The Swans, which was truly a black abyss like tar.
