Just_Emo, the grand master of the order of the onanists cptgaio has spoken, and we can only bow before him. I confirm the (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y) for this one and the (Y)(Y)(Y) for that other one, and of course I'm sure there are better options out there Ingrandisci questa immagine

I disagree with the reviewer; if I remember correctly, the current singer is quite a looker (and I wouldn't have kicked the old one out of bed either).

"If you take the sound of Paradise Lost and mix it with an ounce of hardcore, maybe you'll understand a bit more." You've brutally piqued my curiosity with this line… put like that, they could be my favorite band. The important thing is that it doesn't really sound like "classic beauty and the beast metal," because I really can't stand that genre. I might give them a listen; even the name promises a lot for me.

It seemed to me you had really "gone all out" in the review itself. Anyway, there's no problem for the private chat, even though from experience the talk about "leftist dogmatism" tends to drag on for quite a while. On the other hand, it couldn't be otherwise, in a situation where the putrid luminescence of a Berlusconi stands out, and even excellent politicians are underestimated (Prodi, Di Pietro, Bersani, not just anyone).

I also think that the dimension of the CCCP is mainly aesthetic, but it would be a mistake to underestimate the political aspect. After all, this is punk. Anyway, it may just be my impression, but discussions here are not very clear. Sometimes it’s hard to understand where someone wants to go with their arguments.
@Taxidriver: I don’t see all this immobility and dogmatism in the left. The left is currently led by a party that calls itself "democratic," comprised of both Catholics and non-Catholics, and it draws inspiration from a new politics like that of Obama. I don’t have many references, but even back in the Seventies, they were talking about a historical compromise. The Festa dell'Unità doesn't even call itself that anymore! In fact, a critical, reformist, revolutionary left would be welcome these days. Maybe you, like others, have simply grown tired of being on the left; I don’t know your situation, but it’s a possibility. The best response is still that of Moretti: ā€œYOU shouted ugly things, and YOU have aged poorly. I shouted the right things and I’m a splendid forty-year-old.ā€ (The words were more or less these).

Really beautiful, I would give 5 to both this and A History Of Violence. The perspective on identity is interesting. This is a film with a great atmosphere in my opinion, the outdoor shots are very beautiful. The actors are also excellent, but Cassel had already earned my respect for other works, not just for Bellucci.

Overall, outside our borders it seems that pop doesn't always have to mean vulgarity and trash; this could also be a decent character. However, the rating feels excessive in my opinion, aside from having slept with Nicole Kidman; but even then, if he had slept with Jessica Alba, how many stars would you give him?

It seems to me that sometimes there's more rhetoric in those who criticize the left than in the left itself; this is evidenced by the clichéd content of this writing, with your perspective not much different from that of any Pdl. On the rest, I mostly agree, except for the character Ferretti: if he understood everything, why did he need to run with Ferrara? Throwing away the membership card would have been sad but understandable; instead, this is pure madness. Anyway, I haven’t listened to him even though I know all the compositions more or less—I don’t think there’s much to add about the CCCP, among the few unequivocally punk and unequivocally Italian, a great band. The first two are my favorites.

Good review and the usual curious mention. Some time ago, I listened to something by Rudra after reading a review here on Debaser; unlike them, they weren’t Indian but from Singapore, and they didn't sound very old school. It was mostly a death metal that wasn’t too raw, reminiscent at times of Sepultura, Morbid Angel, and Death, all mixed with a good dose of Indo-Oriental ethnic sounds. If you dig a little in that area, you can find quite interesting things.

I've been listening to them lately. I can confirm, they really rock. I've also seen them live, but not knowing them very well, I didn't follow them as I should have. It seemed like an incredibly tight concert.
