Kingston Wall Vol. II

A very particular group, very talented and very niche, I didn't expect to see it reviewed here. More than Barrettian, I would say Gilmourian. Everything is very space rock and psychedelic indeed, with a touch of Scandinavian concreteness and melody. The review is quite brief, almost rushed I would say; I would have elaborated a bit more: for instance, it doesn’t mention the Eastern influences, which is an important aspect. Additionally, there are a few inaccuracies: the group did not experience a "compositional boom" in the early '90s; they simply ceased to exist afterwards and only created the trilogy in question. It would be nice if the whole thing was reviewed, maybe someday.

I've been interested in this artist and their music for quite some time, and I must say I’m very pleased to read a page like this. "The self-referentiality of Western culture," how can I argue with you? A fantastic album and an immense artist, the reviewer did a great job delving into such an important topic.

Discone, I was listening to it in the car just a little while ago (it always makes for great company), and I swear, I was thinking how I’ve been meaning to review it for a while now because there are quite a few things to say, and here the reviewer has come to conclusions that are very close to what mine would have been! Entombed are the rough and rock’n’roll soul of Death Metal, an excellent band that is very underrated.

Come on Fedeee...a man who shares a name with a Pop-R'n'B singer and listens to HIM and 30 Seconds To Mars...it doesn't take a genius. But I like your lack of malice!

There’s only one way to settle the matter: let the catfight begin. I won’t hide my preferences for one of the two contestants, it would be truly hypocritical XD
Akira Kurosawa Dersu Uzala

I miss late Kurosawa; however, I know the early one quite well. What I like is that his films, while technically excellent and addressing rather important themes, maintain a great sense of humanity. There is a lot of tradition and philosophy, but also emotions. The review, on the other hand, is very beautiful and has piqued my curiosity quite a bit; I hope to indulge in this as well sooner or later.

I don't know them very well, but I find the singer to be quite a character.

It seems that it's not a genre, but a group. They might resemble RATM a bit with the high-pitched and somewhat nasal voice, but everything else is zero; rhythms, harmonies, and arrangements are completely different.
