The debut (I think that was it) they had even played for me, passed off as a good record... it was quite some time ago, I don't remember much but at least it was better than their recent stuff. Back then they were fitting into a certain cross-over/hard rock vibe a bit like A Perfect Circle. Or at least, they wanted to fit in.

Skele, but what is there to criticize, honestly? For the record, I have sporadically watched this program against my better judgment (even though I don't think that's determinative for forming an opinion, since almost anyone who owns a television or at least lives in Italy unfortunately knows what it's about), as I have close relatives who follow it, and even if I might not fully grasp its "value," as Panapp says, I have formed an idea about it. "Criticizing" it is impossible simply because the music in this program is just a pretext; it could just as well have been about cooking, and instead of Morgan, there could have been any seasoned chef. The considerations to be made would have been the same. There's nothing to criticize here, there's no music, there's no art: there’s only what we know well, that is "garbage TV," and we also know what it relies on, which mechanisms it plays into. The music (especially the so-called "high" music) is just a lure.

The album is huge, but you’ve worn out your welcome with the Cure. Think about those who have nothing better to do than read all the reviews on the homepage!

It might be the "lesser evil," as Desade says, but honestly, it scares me a bit that people who have never understood, known, or even cared about music watch the show and think that music is what they see. Because it absolutely isn't, and the big names (including Morgan's) were, I believe, included in the finale to attract a larger audience than what would have been achieved with the usual sequence of dreadful names. And then they might respond that this way new talents emerge, as if the most logical thing for an emerging musician who wants to be heard is to go on these shows. If it's true, then Celentano's statement is chilling. I sincerely hope it’s not true. For heaven's sake, it's television after all, and we must demonize it only to a certain extent, but attributing any artistic merits or supposed qualities to it would be absolutely excessive. And I repeat, music has nothing to do with these things. I'll stop here and won’t delve into the reality TV discussion, on which words have already been spent a bit everywhere, and I don’t believe my opinion would add much.

Perhaps the most claustrophobic of The Cure. In some ways, I find it similar to Seventeen Seconds and Faith, but much less melancholic and with far less melody. Good review, even though it doesn't add much and feels a bit rushed.

For me, this is the best possible Death Metal. To anyone who enjoys the genre, I can't recommend the first three or four of these enough, among the few who truly have something to say amidst a myriad that merely perpetuates clichés. A somewhat obvious review (and therefore not very useful), but it manages to capture some impressions well.

The Caterpillar is Alice's... a legend, among other things.

Beautiful, maybe my favorite after Disintegration. Gallup is unbeatable on this record.
