I read truly embarrassing comments. But the critiques of the lyrics are the most amusing: I wonder why I don't see accusations of vulgarity or cringeworthiness in the reviews of the Ramones, the Rolling Stones, Shellac, or Zappa. Perhaps because they have a "critical respectability." You have to listen to records to evaluate them.

I would kill to be able to reread PK.

Masini had talent. Drowned in Sanremo arrangements that aged horribly, but still talent it was. And yes, it’s not very cool to say that I like Masini, but who cares.

Steve Albini, as far as I know, does not disown Surfer Rosa: he himself has said that at the time he did not understand the greatness of that album.

I found out yesterday that at the end of the month they will be in Turin, and I'm excited because Come have meant so much to me. If only their records were found around... Trust Not Those, how is it?

Trends come and go. I leave the comments on who’s cool and who’s uncool to certain half-wits who write for Rolling Stone and OndaRock (there are also some talented people who write there, mind you). I'm interested in sincere, alive music, not the polished nonsense (I won't name names, but just take a look around). And Xiu Xiu always moves me.

I am well acquainted with "Shotgun Wedding," born alongside Lydia Lunch (who, during her Retrovirus tour, performed a couple of tracks from that album, to my utmost delight; I turned into one of those screaming girls when "Burning Skulls" started playing). I still need to listen to this one closely; Rowland is a fascinating character, a true one.

"As far as music is concerned, one always remembers the wrong one." And what would the wrong music be, if I may ask?

This is an excellent review, one that comes along rarely, very rarely on Debaser. Congratulations.

For me, it's a great movie, one of the best to come out of Hollywood in recent years. Unlike "We Own the Night," which didn't excite me (blame Mark Wahlberg and the somewhat overly "American" ending). I only remember that the film is based on "The White Nights" by Dostoevsky. Phoenix is one of the best, no doubt about it.
