Maginboo, there is a deeper reason for the contempt towards certain musical genres. For example, I am absolutely in love with hard rock and metal, and I completely hate house music not because I dislike the sound or the rhythm, but on principle for what it represents and for the fact that being produced with computers and other (certainly not musical instruments), it is not music and is considered by many to be the best.
