The album is full of a romanticism that moved me, I believe it’s her best! After Carmen Consoli got lost in a pseudo-folk pseudo-intellectual phase, there’s only Cristina left to shake up our senses a bit! Long live Cristina! Notable review... congratulations!

Great review, well done! I preferred Carmen back in the days of Mediamente isterica; now she has taken on that goody-two-shoes attitude, with lyrics that are excessively ostentatious and poses of an intellectual that frankly get on my nerves a bit. When I received the album, I feared I would hate it, especially after listening to the horrid "Signor Tentenna," but in the end, I must say it enchanted me, even if it didn’t excite me. I want the "old" Carmen!!!!!! The one who screamed "Geisha" at the top of her lungs with the fervor of a PJ Harvey... the new one, with her "gossipy, buttered, baked, and eaten" vibe and soft arrangements, is tedious...

Thank you for the comments... Michi, actually the comparison doesn't fully convey the idea, I made it just to analyze two different ways of transforming pain into music. Shannon is angrier, more introverted, complex... Anyway, I highly recommend it... Flight Safety is also beautiful, much softer and more melodic than this.
