A not-so-nice review, but the most curious thing is how some people bring up the facts of Michael Jackson's private life when talking about music. For example: "I would never buy the CD of a psychotic asshole who has been accused multiple times of pedophilia." Now I say: tomorrow Bob Dylan has a fit of madness and kills three people in the street; so what happens, that suddenly his albums suck because he is a filthy murderer? Michael Jackson elevated pop to heights not seen since the early Beatles, reviving a genre (whether good or bad) that had long been forgotten, revolutionized the very way music is produced and published, held simply extraordinary concerts (Live in Bucharest, for example), but no one talks about this. Now I don’t want to accuse anyone, but it astonishes me that so many musically cultured people on this site stop at mere appearances to judge an artist (yes, artist) who, whether they like it or not, occupies a leading role in the history of world music. Thank you.
