My passion for the Blue is well-known to everyone, just read my review of “Guilty” by the Blue to understand this.
Given this, I couldn't help but write a review on “Future Past,” the amazing debut album of Duncan James. An encouraging debut, a demonstration of how music can unite and not divide like certain musical styles systematically do with very unpleasant messages.
But that's another story!
The first debut single is “Sooner or later,” a splendid track that accompanied my days and those of many other fans of the artist for months. The second single “Can’t stop a river” is a very sweet ballad showcasing the vocal talents that can be improved but are already at a level many dream of. The ballads on this album are truly remarkable, with arrangements that make you dream. I recommend everyone “Letter to God” (chilling) and “Suffer.” My favorite song is “Breathing,” very well interpreted is the cover of “Amezed” by the Lonestar. Clearly, there's also space for energy and more rock songs, but in this mix of styles, grit, and sweet melodies, there isn't an ingredient that stands out in a bad way. Complete artistic maturity will come, I have no doubt about that. In short, a really outstanding debut for an artist who knows what he's doing.
An album to buy (for those few who haven't yet) and to wear out by playing it repeatedly. Yeah Duncan, a beautiful album!
Tracklist Lyrics and Videos
01 Sooner or Later (03:45)
Don't be scared of your shadow
You can't hide from your sorrow
You can't stay here till tomorrow
Welcome to the club of broken hearts
Where a thousand lonely souls
have passed
[chorus]
Sooner or later you're gonna wake up
And find what you're looking for
Like a diamond wahsed up on the shore
In the meantime you're feeling like you're lost without a friend
Sooner or later you're gonna love again
Sooner or later you're gonna love again
Love has left you rejected
You put u your defenses
Now, your heart's been tried and tested
Now you join the land of broken dreams
No good wishing for what could've been
[repeat chorus]
Don't be scared of your shadow
You can't hide from your sorrow
[repeat chorus 3x]

The album is a cocktail of different but all fantastic sounds and melodies and it is a spectacular start for Duncan.
The hit 'Sooner or Later' quickly won over the entire music audience!

Duncan, therefore, no matter what is said, mostly limited himself to interpreting the songs that were written for him.
If he wants to try to make the big leap, more is expected from his next work.

His style is now quite different from that of the Blue, but it doesn’t entirely depart from it.
Duncan can boast about this fantastic CD very well accomplished, proving to be a very qualified singer even without the Blue.

Even Duncan James, young talent of international pop music, has been caught up in the Christmas spirit.
The gift to put under the tree is already decided!
