pathetic!!! pathetic!!! we’ve reached the point of insulting physical appearance! just like in elementary school!!! don’t you get tired of making a fool of yourself? anyway, it’s true, besides my dick I also have two ears plenty ;-). Bye dwarfs, come back when you can hold a conversation without resorting to insults.

eheh....so, now take some deep breaths before responding, because you're a bit agitated.
1) But HOW THE HELL DO YOU SAY THAT "SHUT UP..." IS SECOND-RATE STUFF? WHERE DID YOU READ THAT, ON TV SMILES AND SONGS, OR PROBABLY EVEN THEY WOULD NOT DARE TO SAY THAT "SHUT UP" IS ONE OF ZAPPA'S MOST IMPORTANT ALBUMS....there are at least 15 Zappa albums better than "Shut Up," right? This makes "Shut Up" a second-rate production within Zappa's discography. That being said, in absolute terms, it's a great album, no doubt about it, but that's not what we're talking about.
2) RECOMMENDING FRANK TO SOMEONE LOOKING FOR "CATCHY MUSIC" IS LIKE RECOMMENDING A BLIND PERSON TO GO SEE A MOVIE because, can a resident of the Czech Republic not go to see a movie? Or did you mean to say "blind" (= a visually impaired person)? Maybe that's why we don't understand each other: we went to different schools....
3) MORE THAN A LITTLE, YOU ARE REALLY A BIG IDIOT. This indicates the difference between you and me: you are hysterical, lack arguments, and therefore insult personally, write in capital letters, are ungrammatical, and don't even authenticate yourself. Do you want to respond and further demonstrate your inadequacy, or are you good as is?

5) "RECOMMEND THE BEST" if we had talked about the best Frank albums, I would have recommended the best Frank albums, but since we were discussing the albums most suitable for those who don’t know him, I suggested the ones that I find more accessible. 6) SO IF YOU HAD TO RECOMMEND EASIER OR MORE COMMERCIAL ALBUMS YOU SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED "OVER-NITE SENSATION" OR "APOSTROPHE." I agree with you that Apostrophe and O.N. Sensation are equally catchy, but in my opinion, Sheik is more beautiful. 7) SAYING THAT "SHUT UP..." IS SECOND-RATE (SECOND-RATE STUFF!!!!!) MAKES ME REALIZE HOW LITTLE YOU UNDERSTAND FRANK. I spent 45 euros on the Shut Up boxed set. I listen to it very often, but IN THE CONTEXT OF FRANK’S DISCOGRAPHY, it is second-rate, no doubt about it... it is clear that we are talking about Frank... even the "minor" albums are great, for god's sake. 8) DON’T YOU KNOW THAT MOST OF THE SOLO GUITARS ON THE STUDIO ALBUMS ARE OVERDUBS TAKEN FROM LIVE RECORDINGS? I know, I mentioned it in the review too. 9) "(INFO: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO ZAPPA?)" Since '93, when I was 13 years old.

ohhhh....nice, starting off with the healthy, sterile, and angry debate. 1) "THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE HERE TO TEACH SOMEONE WHAT THEY SHOULD LISTEN TO" claro que si. And I do it with that certain savoir faire that belongs to someone who has a huge ego. Besides, I’d like to point out that a few lines ago you wrote "FOR SOMEONE WHO NEEDS TO START LISTENING TO UNCLE FRANK, THERE ARE BETTER ALBUMS," so at most, you're the one imposing your tastes... I'm just playing along because you get easily worked up. 2) "I'VE PUT A LOT OF VARIED MUSIC SO THAT ONE CAN CHOOSE (NOT THAT I SAID THEY HAVE TO TAKE THEM ALL AT ONCE)" --> believe me: it’s useless. Either you specify for each album the type of tastes they might encounter or it’s better to suggest a couple. For example: suppose tomorrow you go crazy and decide to start listening to Cocciante; you call someone who has his complete discography and ask for advice. He gives you 24 albums (provided bellicapelli has made 24 albums): what the hell do you do? You tell him "thanks a lot, I see you know Cocciante well, but give me one to start with." 3) "BY THE WAY, I DIDN'T THINK WE WERE SPEAKING TO NEOPHYTES OR THOSE WHO’VE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING" you were mistaken. 4) "JUST TO INFORM YOU, THE FIRST FRANK ALBUM I BOUGHT OUT OF CURIOSITY WAS 'JUST ANOTHER BAND FROM L.A.' (AND UNTIL THEN I HAD NEVER HEARD ANYTHING OF FRANK, I ONLY KNEW HIM BY NAME) AND THE SECOND, WHICH MADE ME FALL IN LOVE DEFINITELY, WAS 'ABSOLUTELY FREE' STUFF THAT YOU, MR. DJ, WOULD NOT HAVE RECOMMENDED TO A NEOPHYTE" thanks for the information, I feel better now.

Aside from the fact that if someone wants to start listening to Frank Zappa and you offer them 24 albums, it doesn't really help them much. Anyway, most of these albums are not suitable for a novice, in my opinion... would you want to play One Size Fits All to someone who's not used to Zappa's madness? They'll turn it off after 2 minutes. The same goes for Absolutely Free, Uncle Meat, We're Only in It for the Money. It's important to note that we weren't discussing which Zappa album is the best, but rather which one is the most suitable to start with. There's a big difference. The "Shut Up 'n' Play Yer Guitar" trilogy is a collection of instrumental tracks from live and studio sessions and, as such, is of secondary importance compared to other works: why should someone start with this album? I think you threw Joe's Garage and Tinsel Town Rebellion into the list just to make up the numbers.

I was there. They played like true goddamn pros. When Marco "absence of movement" Lanegan came in for "Hanging Tree," there was a sort of group orgasm; in that moment, I had to move a bit away from my bulky neighbor (during a collective orgasm, you never know what the hell might happen...). Nick played an entire piece walking like a robot (who knows what kind of trip he was on...). And just to be a bit of a jerk: it took me 10 minutes to drive home :-) Anyway, there's a video of this concert going around... it doesn't quite capture what it was, but it's still worth checking out.

a fucking amazing album. by the way, I didn't know the bassist had played with Curved Air. Air Conditioning is also a fucking amazing album. In fact, one could say that much of the English discography in that genre is fucking amazing.
