Simple Minds Cry
Voto:
After a long time, Simple Minds deliver a more than decent album. The '90s were a difficult period for the band: "Real Life" is salvageable as it tries to replicate the atmospheres of the excellent "Street Fighting Years"... while "Good News From The Next World" and "Neapolis" are not very inspired. I think the cover album "Neon Lights" is quite good, though. Getting back to "Cry," I must say it has some very good moments and it does definitely better than the last "Black & White," where the group fell a bit into the commercial (not by chance they called back the producer of "Once Upon A Time," if I'm not mistaken...) - A somewhat sparse review, but it’s understandable...

I just downloaded it out of curiosity... not bad at all: it really hints at some great things for the next CD. I particularly enjoyed "Sound Round" (where you rightly say you can hear the influences of "Who's Next") and the excellent "Mirror Door" that seems to settle into the sounds of "Tommy."

Does anyone refer to it as a human case for illiteracy?

Cordell, perhaps no one has ever told you this. So I'll say it: the Cranberries are not the only band on planet Earth. When you go into a store, you might notice that the billions of CDs are not just copies of the Cranberries. There is also other stuff.

There was already another one. Do we intend to review all the Guns albums for the 865654th time?
