I want to give it a passing grade... the first two tracks, while staying within the traditional pop format, are very nice: in particular, I think there's an immediate connection with "Picture Postcard." The acoustic gem "A Craddle of Swans" is interesting too. This album also features its signature standout, namely the phenomenal "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare," which has a decidedly unsettling atmosphere. (However, I prefer it in the live version... you can find a tremendous performance in the "Live Archive '04"). "Can't Let Go" and "Funny Feeling" feel a bit off, as they're definitely underwhelming.
