Pixies and Primus have also opened for U2 on their world tours. I downloaded the album when it came out, but it’s really terrible.

The Creedence are among my all-time favorite bands, but I know little about JF as a solo artist. I only have "The Blue Ridge Rangers" by him and, as you mentioned, I knew he had released some not-so-interesting albums too. However, your (great) review convinced me, and I'll give this one a listen.

I knew you would appreciate it! I was even going to write a little review; as soon as I can, I’ll finish it and post it... ah, I came back a week ago from England and while I was in London, guess who I ran into playing live at the Underworld in Camden Town? That’s right, them!!! I didn't even know they were still playing together! An amazing concert, packed venue full of mohawked punks and a setlist with all their best songs! When I think about the luck I had... bye!

Wow! Great review; I’ve never heard of them, but I have to fix that as soon as possible.

From the little I've listened to, I didn't dislike it at all. The class isn't just any water, and you can tell it's them. However, if we compare it to the true masterpieces of the group ("VS" or "Signals..."), there's quite a difference...

You've really got me hooked, and I'm definitely getting double the Flying Frogs, both sessions (BIG envy for those who have been to any concert of Les/Primus). As for RatBrigade, I'll try to give them a listen. I liked CCBOBB quite a bit, but it's not comparable to the stuff from Primus... Nothing beats Punchbowl.
Stray Cats Stray Cats

Yes, The Cramps are THE psychobilly par excellence: rock and roll that leans towards punk-hard rock, psychotic vocals, and heavy references to horror-splatter-sci-fi iconography with various film quotes. The Stray Cats, on the other hand, with their leather jackets and glittery pompadours, as well as lyrics about women, brawls, and car/motorcycle races, represent the purest rockabilly (but there's definitely a touch of punk/new wave here and there).

I miss the Rat Brigade and the Frog Brigade double live, those for sure. Instead, I have both "Highball With The Devil" and "Riddles Are Abound Tonight." I should clarify that "they don't excite me" doesn't mean "they're crap"; Claypool is Claypool, and both are good albums but not masterpieces. Anyway, I wanted to avoid filling 2 lines with titles, so I only wrote down a few. The Frog Brigade are my favorites, and in fact, I missed the live (but I’ll fix that soon). How are the Rat Brigade? Do they deserve it?

Claypool's parallel projects have never particularly excited me: Primus is a whole different story. "Purple Onion" was great, "The Big Eyeball In The Sky" decent, and the "Oysterhead" album mediocre. I've listened to this very little, but I believe it can be counted among his better releases.

Beautiful, this. Not the best, but certainly remarkable.
