@appestato: I know that many consider it their best, but it has never managed to win me over (I do admit, however, that I've listened to it significantly less than the others). For the record, the album that made me love them was Duck Stab.

It's an immense masterpiece, but I really couldn't choose my favorite among this, Meet The Residents, The Third Reich 'n' Roll, and Duck Stab.
Martin Scorsese Goodfellas - Quei Bravi Ragazzi

Even for me, Casino, while I acknowledge it as a good film, has never particularly excited me: when it comes to masterpieces in the gangster movie genre, I much prefer Scarface, Carlito's Way, Donnie Brasco, etc. Goodfellas remains one of the best overall.

The riff of "Come As You Are" by Nirvana was stolen from "Eighties" by Killing Joke while Cobain himself admitted to having composed "Teen Spirit" by copying the legendary "Debaser" by the Pixies. That said, I quote psychopompe: I don't really care who was there first, who copied whom, or which label they were signed to: the fact is that the first RATM album, when it was released in '92, was a huge record that kicked ass. Whether someone finds the political commitment and the use of anti-capitalist symbols by those recording under major labels distasteful is another matter (which is also understandable).

marpado, you have certainly undergone brainwashing and forced media indoctrination. At this point, it’s likely that the damage is irreversibile.

What I have to read; it’s clear that Il_Paolo, with his ramblings, deliberately wants to provoke, which confirms (as if it were necessary) his nature as a fake.

Yes, but it's said <<GLI Zero Boys>>, not <<i Zero Boys>>...

I missed them, but I would have liked to be there, and for various reasons, I couldn't make it. It's a shame because I've never seen RATM live, even though they undeniably marked my adolescence. The criticisms of their consistency and "hard and pure" attitude seem entirely unwarranted: they make great music, have exceptional lyrics, and that's enough; one has to be naive to expect that a rock band, no matter how politicized and left-leaning, should be a beacon of moral and political consistency: in the end, every singer/band inevitably has to accept various compromises and come to terms with market dynamics, because it's always about showbiz. And then a contract with Epic/Sony is the price to pay to get songs like Bullet In The Head or Killing In The Name on MTV.
