sanjuro, you are absolutely right. When Brad Pitt criticizes the muscular hunk in the ad on the bus, it's hilarious: he says something like "damn, do you really think this is what a man should look like?" and the best part is that he looks just the same!!! DISGUSTORAMA

And anyway, if this is a fascist movie, what are Clint Eastwood's films (Inspector Callaghan version)?
Peter Greenaway Prospero's Book (L'Ultima Tempesta)
Voto:
As a director, Greenaway has always oscillated between masterpieces ("The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover" and the beautiful "The Baby of Macon" being the most notable) and mediocre rubbish; this is certainly not a masterpiece.
David Fincher Fight Club

It's not a bad movie, but certainly it's far from being a masterpiece. It is saved by the original and gripping plot, while the usual clever videoclip-like virtuosity of Fincher weighs it down, making it a bit confusing. Brad Pitt doesn't act terribly (although his performance in "12 Monkeys" was of a different level), it's just that he's absolutely not credible in the role. Him (a muscular Hollywood heartthrob, extremely rich and famous) giving speeches like "We were taught we would become rockstars, movie stars, and instead we became the scum of society" is rather grotesque. However, the final scene with "where is my mind" by the Pixies (perhaps the best part of the film) gives him an extra point.

KurtTheFish, I suggest you watch that masterpiece "Totò che visse due volte" by Ciprì and Maresco. A MUST for all believers.

I think Gigi and Andrea's best work is "Acapulco prima spiaggia a sinistra," truly phenomenal, a masterpiece that has everything: hilarious situations/dialogues, excellent location (Cesenatico!), a perfectly fitting soundtrack, Gegia, Jimmi il fenomeno... I expect that sooner or later it will be rediscovered (and honored) by Tarantino as well! Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles? I was fascinated by the figure of Splinter, the rat sensei. I also had the game for Amiga, but it was pretty terrible.

What can you do, masterpieces like Dogma by K. Smith don’t come out every day! :)

Great, Andrea Roncato's mom version is a cult classic! From Drive In, I also really liked Salvi, who played the heavy metal musician ("let's make hard music... we call ourselves 'I Budini Molly'"), but Beruschi was also remarkable (without a doubt one of the trashiest characters).
