Among all the "spielbergherate," this is one of the best, but it's important to remember that ALIENS ARE EVIL!

But come on, surfercangooro, who was it aimed at?

Beautiful, these comments are too funny! If there were a ranking of the most colossal nonsense, for me it would be this: 1) the Clash are a boy band 2) punk is not music 3) the Clash and the Sex Pistols are the Green Day of their time 4) Joe Strummer was pushed to make music after seeing the Ramones in '76 5) the Clash plagiarized the Ramones. Now please continue, it’s always great to have a good laugh!

Primus' albums are all 5s. The first proper album is not this one, but Suck On This.

I hope surfercanguro isn’t upset with me. Am I a fake alternative? Do I offend those who don’t think like me? Am I trying to turn free thought into dogma? I hadn’t even noticed, can you believe it?

peggiopunx, the influence of the Ramones on the Clash is undeniable, but it only pertains to the first two albums, which are also the most immature, perhaps the less "important." To say that the Clash plagiarized the Ramones means ignoring little things like London Calling, Sandinista, and Combat Rock, and that the Clash, with their evolution, were among the most important pioneers of cultural contamination in music. When the Clash were writing tracks like Bankrobber, One More Time, and collaborating with Mickey Dread experimenting with dub, what were the Ramones doing? Albums like Pleasant Dreams and Subterranean Jungle, in the face of creativity! Personally, I’ve always found NOFX boring; it seems like they always repeat the same little song endlessly.

Dear cpt, I'm replying right away: I want to clarify that I don't hate Brad Pitt "because he's handsome" (I'm the first to acknowledge that he delivers an exceptional performance in "12 Monkeys," and I also enjoyed him a lot in "Babel" and "Sleepers"). What bothers me, regarding Fight Club, is that he (who is objectively a universal Hollywood icon, all fashion, glamour, and $$$) is portrayed in the film as a model of perfection not only physically but also intellectually and revolutionary (!!!). Seeing Brad Pitt acting like a revolutionary, dispensing pearls of petty anti-capitalist philosophy strikes me as not only ridiculous but also offensive. I can't give you an opinion on the book because I haven’t read it (it's the only one in his entire bibliography that I haven't). As for the "technical" judgment, I've already mentioned, the film is decent, but I don't particularly appreciate all the gloss and embellishments that Fincher fills his films with, even though I like the story (but here the credit doesn’t go to Fincher).
