@boredom: thinking back, rather than starting from an album, you could start from a single track: "She Don't Use Jelly," one of their signature songs, a wildly catchy Barrett-esque nursery rhyme (I discovered them thanks to this, and when I heard it, I instantly became a fan).

I would recommend starting with "Oh My Gawd," "Heart It Is," and "Telepathic Surgery," then moving on to the rest (carefully avoiding anything they produced after 1993).

Labeling the film as just a simple noir or as "twilight western" (many have done so) is too reductive, given the number of dream-like and metaphorical elements present (the figure of Chirurgh, the escape, various symbolisms). The review is a perfect summary of those found on www.spietati.it.

as my favorite album by FL, I definitely vote for this one... but the first 4 albums are all masterpieces

cute, but the Meat Puppets made their best stuff between '87 and '89: "Mirage," "Huevos," and "Monsters" are, as far as I'm concerned, the peak of their output.

This and Troublegum are their best, but I just can't find any analogies with Undertow by Tool. To me, they will always remain the B-list Helmet.

Come on, this isn't a 5... otherwise we'd have to give 10 to "Corsario Negro," "Ciudad..." and the two "Toba Trance."

Great movie, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it a masterpiece.
