beautiful, Ace Of Spades is my favorite song by Motörhead
Takashi Miike Audition

I couldn't say what my absolute favorite Miike film is, but this one is definitely among the top 5. Recently, I watched "The Great Yokai Wars": it was a surprise, a wildly visionary film focused entirely on Yokai, the delusional monsters/demons of Japanese folklore (Miike collaborated with Shigeru Mizuki, one of the foremost experts on Yokai).

Lewis, beautiful Fantaman! However, the story sung by Mal is a hoax; it's actually about another singer, the English Douglas Meakin (that’s why he has that Mal-like accent, but he also actually collaborated with the Primitives), who, together with Dave Sumner (plus a few others I can't remember), formed the Superobots, and I had the pleasure of seeing them perform at Lucca Comics last year (they are the authors of many beautiful themes, like Babil Jr, Starzinger, Sampei, Forza Sugar, etc.).

Nice, I’ll put this one a step below Demon Box, which is my favorite.

Cristina D'avena (together with her accomplice Alessandra Valeri Manera) has been the DOWNFALL of cartoon themes; the true masters of the genre were the Balestra brothers (the ones behind Daitarn3, one of the absolute best), i Cavalieri Del Re, Nico Fidenco, the Superobots... people who didn’t just compose simple silly nursery rhymes for brain-dead kids, but real songs, many of which had a certain depth.
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

"Maybe it's better to start downsizing the Beatles experience" maybe it's better to start downsizing your brain.

Well, not bad the Lato, the singer seems even more in tune than before :)

But then it’s just as I imagined: practically this compilation is only with the musicians who participated and their friends/family! Yes Vortex, I understand your excitement because back in the day it was the same for the Zen... sharing the record with the Motor is a great satisfaction! Anyway, I agree with you Alessio, in the end, the Verdena who were sincere clones back then were better than what they became later. I’ve always liked "Lapalma" from that compilation, it was very Melvins... but you Vortex, what did you play in the Scanferlato?

Vortex, I see that you also have SonicheavventureIII... honestly, I don't think many people own it; I have it just because some of my friends, the Zen (now Zen Circus), were included in the compilation, but I remember that the main reason I got a copy was that Motorpsycho song... meanwhile, Verdena (who at that time were called Verbena) were, unbelievably, even more ridiculous than they are today (title of the piece: "Fiato Adolescenziale," a testament to their natural talent for silly titles and lyrics).

Templar, your opinion is more than legitimate (of course), but in my opinion (I've been following them since '93) Wayne didn't just want to "change for fun"; he quite consciously pulled down his pants and bent over in front of the big audience. The first EP by the Flaming Lips is from 1984, but their real success (the financial one) came almost twenty years later, in 2002, with that plasticky pop album, Yoshimi. For years they were a "cult" band, releasing beautiful albums, but hardly anyone paid attention to them: evidently at some point Wayne, at forty years old, realized that with his music he would never be able to afford the SUV and the villa with a pool that he so desired... nothing strange, it happens; after all, consistency & integrity don't pay the bills.
