Poletti, it’s pointless to say that you’re constantly a confirmation. I didn’t say that Italian literature is total garbage. I said that these summer booklets, Italian ones, trying to mimic some American thriller author or something like that, are subpar. They’re just crap for those who want to act intellectual under the sun umbrella. I’ve read almost everything by Camilleri, but forgive me, what contribution does the mystery genre make to the history of literature?... Camilleri only holds up because he’s 80 years old and who knows what you think... but don’t come to me saying he’s a cornerstone of Italian literature.
