if you had told me that the Melvins were coming the next day, you would have already shown that you’re worth something, but you said that Patton sucks and that Albini is better just because he produced some records, the most important of which is awful (guess which one?) and Shellac are objectively not worth much... so you’ve messed up, you’re not worthy, you suck and you think you’re cool, the ugly first cousin of Francis... stop pretending to understand and trying to act cool. you are part of the conformism of those who want to be nonconformist at all costs... translated... you’re a piece of crap.

Yeah, I’ve seen Mike Patton... I’m not really a true alternative like you, I mean... Mike Patton, just some dude... Patton, on the same level as Gatto Panceri... God, how I wish I could be as cool as you... knowing Steve Albini... the producer of Nirvana!!! I mean... Nirvana!!! Forget about Patton... I mean, come on: the producer of Nirvana and Mike Patton, there's just no comparison!

sanjù, I feel like I’m seeing you a bit dim-witted, you know? Do you really think I've only talked about Patton? Damn, I can consider this review my debut given its length, and you only mention Patton? Anyway, let me tell you, you’re really cool, seriously...it’s cool to drop unknown names (for the record, I like The Residents, but Negativland messes with me), it’s cool to say that someone universally recognized as great is awful, it’s very, very cool...God, how cool you are...just like those in the first line of the review.

a film without a plot, without characters that make sense, without an exemplary ending, without morality, without meaning. in a word....fantastic
Woody Allen Match Point

Well, I really liked this movie a lot… the review, not so much… it’s too technical and it bores me, but I don’t know, maybe it’s just that Allen has never made me laugh, at least in this film he doesn’t try to be funny and that’s why I like it.
Sparklehorse Live allo "Spazio 211" di Torino (con Christian Fennesz) - 21/05/07

I saw Sparklehorse at the free concert in Bari reviewed by Qzerty, along with Fennesz, and then I saw Fennesz at Dissonanze with Mike Patton… one word for all of them… unique… I’ll give five stars to the concert just on trust.
Fu Manchu No One Rides for Free

great review of a nice album and a great band back then (that is, before that crap called start the machine), the comparison piece kyuss-fu manchu is worldwide...except for the fact that for me kyuss are necessarily better, even though they are two bands with absolutely different spirits.

I was there too, did you see me?:-)...beautiful, heartfelt and short. Your daughter will understand music when she grows up.

the stoner has nothing to do with it... the kyuss were stoner, indeed the kyuss ARE STONER, but the qotsa are a completely different thing. Alan Johannes played in the Eleven and has just left the band, replaced by some Mike Shoes (michele scarpe... idk), the multi-instrumentalist from a perfect circle is Van Leuween, who is still in the qotsa. they also sent away the old keyboardist (what a shame, she was cute), replaced by Dean Ferlita from the raconteurs... Natasha was better. this album is their worst, the psychedelia is something only you see, and Casablancas playing with Homme is, for me, a blasphemy (josh, who the hell are you calling?), those falsettos a la Maximo Park... that underlying banality... my heart aches.. I adored the qotsa, but it’s over, I’m not going to the concert, but I still remember that night in Bologna two years ago, wow, back then they were really the qotsa.
