I didn't really like this rece... maybe it's because I prefer the Goonies to Kitano's films over Dolls, just to name one. A fixed camera for 15 minutes on someone crying? Mmmmmm, well, I'm skeptical and I’m less of a prosaic "what a drag!". The album, as usual, is a wonder, and Kid Millions knows what he knows and knows, their best will always be Each One Teach One, rough and angry times that perhaps won’t return but it's still a pleasure even so.

immense record and few fucks… the recordings were completed on alternate days by Julie and Josh (the guitarist, current visual for Neurosis) because they had just ended their relationship and didn’t want to see each other… I’m pretty convinced this was good for the album, it came out even darker and viscerally angry (listen to bones in the water… a heart attack)

dboon, but aren't you confusing them with the emo crap that played before Tool and NIN? That was indecent; NIN were objectively fabulous in my opinion. I also regretted not hearing anything from The Fragile, but when they kicked off with "Dead Souls," I forgave them everything.

I saw them live with Tool in Bologna, which doesn't have the same impact as "I saw them in Chicago at Lolla," but they were an incredible experience there too... what can I say? Along with QOTSA, the best live band currently on the planet. I rate that concert highly, just like I like them, well done.
