No, I know you didn't take it the wrong way, don't worry ;-)

And don’t think that I didn't like it; I would have given you a 2 or a 1, I assure you. It’s just that you did better for me, that’s all. Have a good evening as well.

the point is not the plot, Fidia, I would have said a little more but that's just my opinion and completely negligible. :-)

The film is truly remarkable, with a beautiful intertwining of plots and a stunning setting (the New England states are ideal, after all we’re talking about King) and above all it keeps the audience in suspense until the very end, which is no small feat. I was surprised because usually I love a different genre of Horror. I admire Carpenter, a great craftsman, his determination to remain a voice outside the choir of big-budget productions with dazzling and costly special effects (he does them himself, like the music). Unfortunately, the reception isn’t the best; it seems like Fidia, you could’ve done better, no offense.

Oh right, I almost forgot, I will never see the film simply because *shadow of the vampire*, aside from the performances of Malkovich and Defoe, is quite negligible, in my humble opinion. Therefore, in the near future, spare your authoritative self to dedicate your reviews to someone else, perhaps more worthy of you, Master. I imagine that now some of your little misogynist friends (not by chance, with all the knowledgeable iconoclastic boys around here, you dedicated the review to 2 women) will come to help you and insult me; go ahead, I don’t care at all. After all, if my presence bothers you, there are always the editors to turn to. And with this, I conclude; you’ve already made me waste too much time and, frankly, I don’t think you deserve any more of it.

Dear Nibbio, I am very honored by the dedication, but know that as far as I'm concerned, you've misdiagnosed my psychoanalysis. I am not an iconoclast; I have no idols, and if you're referring to Peter Gabriel, it’s just a projection from when I was very young, if you really want to delve into psychoanalysis. I don't idolize anyone, I don't even believe in God, let alone worship a mere mortal. I don’t claim to be wise; on the contrary, I am quite ignorant, and I come here to engage with music and cinema and to learn from people who know more than I do, like Grasshopper and Pretazzo, unlike you, who most of the time come here making condescending and presumptuous comments. You're so arrogant and convinced that you know everything that you dare to give life lessons to two people you don't even know. I'm acidic with people who get on my nerves, if you don't mind, almost everyone is when we read comments we don’t like that offend our sensibilities. So you could have spared yourself the effort of writing a review for me because you, certainly, are not among the examples to follow and from whom to learn something. Bye bye.

I can't believe the news todayyyy..... no no I know it has nothing to do with U2. I have never had the pleasure of seeing this film, but I know "a man from the sidewalk" by the same director and maybe other films that I'm currently forgetting. I fondly remember Peter Finch; he is the protagonist of Network, a beautiful and original ruthless film about television (ruthless) by Sidney Lumet.

I imagine it will only be screened in film clubs; luckily there’s a cineclub near me that's also cheap, otherwise it would be the end. We have 3 theaters and all of them showing stupid blockbusters!! :-(
