Yes, but Vic’s smile isn’t wrong, damn it! Benigni has become unbearable, with his “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” that’s all about being soft-hearted, tear-jerking, and yes, I agree, it’s American propaganda, as if there weren’t enough propaganda films made in the USA. Now the Italians are getting in on it too, especially Benigni... but how can one go from “Berlinguer ti voglio bene” to this stuff? The first half is unbearable, the second is definitely better. "Train de Vie" is a different thing, far, far superior to this film.

Wow, with all these baroque adjectives, I expect at least to hear the Brandenburg Concertos... anyway, it's hard to understand much about this group, the instrumentation used, how it's employed, what genres it dabbles in; in short, it seems I can only grasp its religiosity.
