What does Battisti have to do with scassamaronotti??? Battisti was never banal, your Eros often is.

The only thing I can say is that those who hold the knife by the handle in this world have every interest in keeping people from thinking and distracting them from what really matters. And they try with everything, from literature to TV to cinema and also with music, of course. Happy Saturday everyone!

It's also true that they eat what they're fed, okay, but unfortunately, this is a very complex issue to tackle. Mass marketing an art form like music inevitably leads to its devaluation.

Unfortunately, as they say, there's no end to the worst. Music and TV are in the hands of people who have little to do with art but a lot to do with money. People don’t want to think, to reflect on a Bob Dylan lyric or to enjoy a Miles Davis solo; they only want sex, hot chicks, and catchy tunes that don’t challenge the mind. And to make money, if people want crap, that’s what you have to give them.

s+ probably if some groups of nikkia had existed 30 or 35 years ago they would have had a better chance. back then there was more desire to change, to say no to only pizza and love for example or to certain glossy clichés.

What I meant to say is perfectly summed up in Fabrizio De André. Everyone knows him, yet he has never prostituted himself for money; he followed his own path. You may like him or not, but if you like him, others who listen to more down-to-earth artists might like him too, and I think that’s very important. Someone like De André, the antithesis of easy, disposable music that at least everyone or almost everyone has appreciated in their life, even if just for one song.

Shark, I know you're right, but to be a true artist you also need to engage those who normally wouldn’t listen to your music. I know that many great artists haven’t broken through, unfortunately, either due to their professional life choices or by refusing to succumb to the temptations of success and business. Because if you give in to certain temptations, you inevitably have to reassess your repertoire and "commercialize" it (I'm using this term because I can't find another). It’s a life choice that I personally consider very worthy of respect, but playing for the few who appreciate it is too comfortable. We need to do as many wonderful artists have tried to do: promote their art as much as possible because you can succeed if you want to. Some have made it without prostituting themselves to the star system. It's very difficult, I know, and it's a discussion that's too complex to generalize like this.

who the fuck are you to mess with me??? here the only one I have to apologize to is fastwca for misjudging him because at the beginning of the discussion he reminded me a bit of a punk friend of mine with whom I had to sweat bullets to get valid arguments out of him instead of empty criticism, and as far as I can see I was wrong. I don’t owe you any apologies, go mess with your sister, YOU CLOWN!!!

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood your festival, but pretazzo is just a rude person, and that's it. With this, I'm done with the conversation.

Well, if that's not the case, maybe it's not you, but the other guy who was copy-pasting my sentences gave me this impression. Mine are not stereotypes, quite the opposite, have you ever heard that punks are snobs ??????
