The Yes are the paradigm of progressive much more than the KC, extremely experimental. It doesn't mean that the Yes are the best, but only that they have represented this genre in the purest and most crystalline sense of the term.

It's pointless to get lost in chatter discussing which band is "the main one" in progressive. It doesn't make sense, especially since everyone has their own favorite or favorites. The most revolutionary have been the KC, but again, these are opinions.
