I only realized after I sent it that there was already another review of this film. Sorry for the duplicate.
Darren Aronofsky N O A H

Darren Aronofsky is "The Delusion Theorem," "Requiem for a Dream," "The Wrestler." For me, that's enough. From tomorrow, he could even start filming garbage, but for me, he remains a great director, brilliant, disturbing, profound. I haven't seen this one, but I believe that sooner or later I'll take a look at it.

One of the few by Scorsese that I'm missing.
Soundgarden Louder Than Love

I don't care, their best song ever is "Gun" for me. And this is their most introverted and underrated album, which is, in my humble opinion, the best of their career.

Well, this doesn't seem like a great album to me. They are one of my favorite bands, but the commercial flattening (unfortunately) is very evident. The choruses of "The Motherload" and "Ember City" are Foo Fighters to the point of being nauseating. Now, for me, sounding more commercial isn’t bad if done with awareness, and in this sense, "The Hunter" had its reasons. It opened a new phase while maintaining the epic nature of tracks like "Black Tongue" and "Dry Bone Valley," the heavy hits "All The Heavy Lifting" and "Spectrelight," concluding with the psychedelia of the beautiful "The Sparrow." Here there's a lot of craftsmanship and a melodic openness that feels clearly forced. It’s a decent album, nothing compared to what they’ve done in the past. For me, the best tracks are "Tread Lightly," "Chimes At Midnight," and "Asleep In The Deep," while I’m still trying to understand the purpose of the closing track "Diamond In The Witch House" and its redundant, nonsensical psychedelia. Let’s just say I expected a lot more from them.

I remember waiting for it with excitement, but then it left me rather cold. I've listened to it several times, but I never managed to love it.

Another album that has never convinced me much. 6.5/10

Honestly, I prefer the previous "Wounded Land" precisely because it's less "polished" and has tracks that I enjoyed more (especially "Consume To Live" and "Mother Earth"). I find this one less impactful, lacking the necessary bite (and in this, I believe Morgan's voice has its influence). I prefer Damian Wilson behind the microphone. That said, it's certainly not a bad album; on the contrary, tracks like "Under The Sun" and "He Is I Am" are little gems. But everything is subjective, and "Wounded Land" seems superior to me. A 7/7.5, between 3 and 4 stars (leaning more towards 3 than 4).
