Well, I don’t really see all this lightening of the sound (the lightest album by Anthrax for me remains "Sound of White Noise," which is more distinctly grunge). I do agree, though, when you say it's underrated. Overall, it’s a decent work.

Here, Anthrax have made grunge and thrash fuck each other, resulting in a frankly unexpected final outcome. A shadowy album, "drugged," more thoughtful than the previous ones, showcasing a monstrous John Bush. For me, it's alongside "Among the Living," their most successful CD.

Metallica Beyond Magnetic

It's said by someone who hates "modern" Metallica to the point of having pissed on their great masterpieces, but this Beyond Magnetic does its dirty work, and I never expected to say that. I see it as a return to the heavy sounds of the Black Album, but call me crazy, I even hear Candlemass (especially in "Just a Bullet Away") and AC/DC in "Hell and Back." In short, nothing that can be compared to the works of the past, but in the end, this EP deserves recognition. I avoided giving it a 1, as I often did with the last 'Tallica, but this time I wanted to really listen to it: I feel like I should break a lance in their favor. Has the worst passed?
