In my opinion, Vai is a GOD but you can't say he's the best guitarist; the same goes for bassists and drummers. For me, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, for example, are far better than Kirk Hammett, who is placed second by that magazine (considering also the fact that Hammett and Hetfield in St. Anger only do rhythm...). Then there's Michael Romeo, another amazing guitarist, but at this point, they could have also mentioned our Luca Turilli (Rhapsody), Herman Li (Dragonforce), Kiko Loureiro (from Angra, and I saw him live doing an incredible tapping solo with 4 FINGERS at a monstrous speed)... Then, if we want to stick to the same names, we can do that, but at least let's mention names that are nonetheless highly regarded, and not just look at skill, but also what they've accomplished in their careers, like Dave Murray who played in The Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, and many other things...
