I don't boycott anyone, I gave an opinion, I repeat,.... can a group not be liked? I assure you that this CD hasn't pleased quite a few people.... not just me...

Just like Aniel, no one takes away your right to support the band in question, but this is not the place to allude to disputes or situations of which we don't even know the nature. I simply didn't like the aforementioned CD... the criticism is generally aimed at all those who "support" out of bias; I prefer not to support if it’s not worth it.

I think you are both off track; neither I nor Aniel know the band personally. Anyway, the review stands and it is always a personal opinion. Besides, I don't know the band in person, so don’t think it depends on any personal grievances. Perhaps I simply do not like this "music"?... I'll repeat, a friend of mine passed me the CD at a concert here in Sicily, praising them. Listening to it, it seemed to me just a tired and clichéd recycling filled with little class. Maybe it communicates something to you.... The problem might be yours... and not necessarily mine.

MMM, while my review of this band, which I don’t think is worth mentioning in the Italian scene, has already been made separately... on an audio level, the record sounds like sandpaper. If that sound farm, what's it called, is referred to as a recording studio… based on what I've heard from local bands in the sector, it has only ruined them; I know people who took the recorded tracks there to remix them elsewhere... but they encountered problems in general because the recordings were done poorly. I also know of bands that, after recording there... seeing the poor audio results, subsequently broke up... if you want my advice, it's best to keep a proper distance.

I am Sicilian, but that doesn’t really matter... I would like it to be understood that the intent extends more generally to all those who play in the South or who play in general, rather than being derogatory towards the band, which in my opinion could stay home... stop, and I say stop to this "buddy" politics here and "friend" there, in Italy the same people have been getting ahead for years, people who have little to say at this point. Personally, I don’t consider friendship when I talk about music; moreover, I am on good terms with bands that I criticize, but I am firmly opposed to endlessly supporting everything that is made in Italy, unless it is truly a valid product.

The recording is the best to come out of Calabria so far in the extreme scene; pseudo record studies around here churn out sonic crap, especially in Catanzaro, and many know what I'm referring to. After all, you have to study before you sit behind a mixer. In my opinion, the memories are the only extreme metal band in our area that are worth something and have something to say. Moreover, the contract is well-deserved—a co-production with a label that has worldwide distribution, unlike those who sign with unknowns who keep the album at home, maybe they don't even print it...
