Leonid: I bet you're under 20 years old, aren't you?

But you see, you keep rebutting without knowing and you’re being superficial. Find me an artist who was singing glam fused with hard rock in the 70s. Find them for me, and I’m ready to apologize.

You see, unlike you, I only speak in-depth about artists I truly know as well as the back of my hand, or even better, to avoid saying nonsense. That's why I often write about Queen, because I know I am extremely knowledgeable on the subject.

Leonid, you can't be argued with; you always retort without ever explaining why. Old and trivial!? Do you realize what you're saying? Have you lived in that era? I believe not! And you want to explain it to me?

leonid: from the way you talk, it seems you've never listened to the Queen from the '70s. I can tell you that no one at that time was making music like the Queen; they were the only ones.

but taking inspiration doesn't mean copying, even Mozart drew inspiration from others. what reasoning are you doing?! all of us take inspiration, no one has ever created something without an inspiration. having an inspiration and modifying it like Queen did means experimenting with new things, new ideas; that's why they were genius, that's why they are so beloved, that's why they're in history.

leonid: honestly, have you ever listened to a single album by Queen from the 70s? Because you're talking to me about easy sentimentalism, just to remind you that the lyrics of Queen in the 70s were anything but easy sentimentalism.

leonid: But don't you realize that you are doing everything to make a bad impression? You are trying to discredit a band by hitting it right in its strong points! It's incredible!!!

You are very superficial in your judgments, and let me explain why. To be great, you don’t need to invent something, but you need to know how to do something brilliantly; that’s where the difference lies. Queen didn’t invent anything (and I indeed never said otherwise) but they knew how to add to rock operetta and glam that catchiness that no one had ever managed to achieve before; that’s where you see the genius. Then, regarding the fact that Bowie and Bolan were the glam pioneers, there’s a lot to discuss. In fact, the first glam album by Queen dates back to 1969 with "In Nuce," while the first by T. Rex is from 1970, and Bowie confessed that he came after Queen in terms of glam... so! And what does "We Will Rock You" mean? It’s just a song!! I could counter with all the masterpieces of Queen and the absolutely wonderful fairytale-like lyrics, but I believe you are not familiar with them.

you didn’t even try to explain why they were bad.
