A band that, aside from the singles, I have never delved into. I like the digression on the dark atmospheres created even while playing major chords; the "exclusivity" of minor chords is a cliché that needs to be debunked. "Atmosphere" by Joy Division, for example, was entirely in major.

The MBV have never really engaged me that much (apart from the track Sometimes, which is now a certainty on my mp3 player); maybe I’m just too disappointingly grounded for them :-) These guys, from the way you describe them, seem more "complete", although the fiery psychedelic cacophony does scare me :D

Thank you uxo :D @hugoniot: yes, I had mentioned that overall the fight is spectacular and engaging to watch (I was mimicking the punches during the screening :P); it just feels very megalomaniacal :D

very long review I couldn't finish it. I'm not a fan of nu-metal either, but I didn't think this unplugged was bad.

Commendable as always for the morality, but here we have two options: either Rocky takes him down after 3 rounds like he did against Mr. T, or he goes all 10 rounds and comes out with his hands where his feet should be... Neither of these scenarios occurs, and the chosen solution is the least plausible, even though it’s spectacular: no one at 60 can stand 10 rounds against a world champion who is 35 years younger. The fact that that piece of trash Tyson (the most pathetic of all in his cameo) got brutally beaten at 39 by an even crappier boxer makes the idea even clearer. Even the Genius of the Turtles in DragonBall, at a certain age, realized it was no longer worth it to fight.

Let me break a bergamot in favor of the reviewer. As someone once said, since Rocky IV is not exactly a masterpiece and blah blah blah..., it doesn’t require some profound critical analysis or the perspective of some intellectual to decipher its obscure symbolism... I would say that the plot and the moral of the story are more than sufficient, given that it has been quite exhaustive as well.

Given that the bullshit is elsewhere, I quote Fidia; despite the excesses of idealism (especially in this chapter which, however, was my favorite of the saga in my childhood), the positive hero figure of Rocky has few equals in the history of cinema.
