Kula Shaker Strangefolk

I remember that when Mystical Machine Gun came out (I didn’t even have the internet), I was determined to buy Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts. I went into a small CD shop and naively asked, "Excuse me, do you have the CD by Kula Shaker?" and he equally naively replied, "Ahahahahah, no no, I think they’re still stuck with Kul int'all'acqua." That experience traumatized me. From then on, I decided I would never attempt to buy an original CD in the province of Naples again...

1) If a friend of yours at the BAR asks you to give him some good reasons to watch this movie, what do you say: "hold on, shall we head to a bourgeois living room?" 2) Never consult other sites :) 3) Here on Debaser, there wasn't a review, so you had every right to write one, especially to encourage those who haven't had the chance to see the film.

Convincing. The little I know about her is not bad. I'm amazed that no one has come to say yet: "Yes, and if we give 5 to L'Aura, what do we give to Pink Floyd?"

I assure you that they really torture the eardrums. I have some scattered mp3s because every now and then I have a good laugh with black metal bands.

I'm not really fond of this kind of talk: "if the Ramones hadn't existed, punk or many other bands wouldn't have existed." The same argument applies to other genres. Since history isn’t made with "ifs" and "buts," we can't argue plausibly. In the end, it's just a matter of timing; if the Ramones hadn’t existed, do you really believe that no other band could have come up with the brilliant idea of making 2-minute songs by strumming 3 chords for the entire duration? Beyond the "historical" contribution, it's not all that imaginative—someone else would surely have figured it out. On a practical level, if I were to play punk, I would probably draw much more inspiration from the Clash than the Ramones. ........Cakkio the mediavideo page is inkiommata about Pià's future, and Prandelli thinks highly of him. If he were to take him :)

Maresca, Chevanton... I hope the Presidentissimo doesn't just talk the talk and actually opens his wallet :)

Pretty, when it comes to synthesis, you've torn me apart :)

Funny review, even if you seem a bit too spot on with the technique. Cute cover, but honestly I don’t see anything particularly brilliant about it. For all the reasons you’ve meticulously laid out, Primus are a great band; there wouldn't even be a need to remind everyone in every review that Les Claypool is an amazing bassist. But for the same reasons, I also have to say that I couldn't listen to more than 3-4 tracks in a row from a Primus album. The only exception might be a concert, which would offer more chances for fun.

First of all, I support Lexus: the important thing is that Rolando Bianchi goes to Napoli. If Semioli comes too, it would be even better :) As for the Clash, I wouldn't compare them to any other punk band, not even the Ramones. I'm not a huge fan, but I've always considered them a "sui generis" band. Oh, I almost forgot, let's hope we also get Hamsik :P
